La política criminal uruguaya hacia las adolescencias en la Ley de Urgente Consideración

Abstract

The present research explores the political meanings and impacts of the Urgent Consideration Law (Ley de Urgente Consideración or LUC) on juvenile justice in Uruguay. The study analyzes the security chapter of the LUC from the perspective of legal sociology and the recommendations of the United Nations. Additionally, the factual consequences of this law on the National Institute of Adolescent Social Inclusion and the future of adolescents identified by the justice system are examined. This work aims to provide evidence of the direction taken by the criminal policy of the Uruguayan government between 2020 and 2022.
