This paper puts forward the idea that immigration constitutes a difference that makes a difference, since it provides families with information, experiences, as well as economic and cultural resources. In this way, the structure of families that include an immigrant is modified in accordance with the position of the migrant: father, son or spouse. The interrelation between immigration and the position of the migrant brings about positive aspects regarding the living standards and relationships among family members and, at the same time, some elements that generate tensions and conflicts.Descargas
