Abstract

Mexico City , a large drive that around 19 million people settled living on a land area of just over 3000 km ² , of which almost 1115 km ² correspond to the so-called urban area is presented , for their same dimensions physical and human , as a huge "social laboratory " with an intense and constant life. In the Mexican capital coexist humiliating opulence of some sectors , loaded with resources and assets , against slums without water or services embedded in caves and cardboard houses ; city ​​with an overwhelming presence of public and private corruption in all walks of life ; where poor urban planning has resulted in the permanent widening of countless " slums " both inside and in the metropolitan area of ​​the city as well as its natural growth, continues to receive daily new arrivals of migrants rural areas
