Abstract

Western societies are heirs - in - part of the Judeo-Christian tradition whose ratings and conceptualizations of sexuality are rooted in the precepts of Judaism and the Greek and Roman Stoicism that arranged a new marriage based on religious , sexual system as single space to exercise legitimate sexuality exclusively geared towards reproduction; disapproval of homosexuality and sex performed only for pleasure over time this Christian morality is widespread part of common sense , our sexual behavior is being shaped by this culture that accompanying the emergence and development of the modern state. Following Foucault, sexual practices until the late eighteenth century were governed by civil law, the Christian pastoral and canon law; from that century and throughout the nineteenth institutions, knowledge and standards are beginning to emerge that secular but increasingly become the heirs of the Christian morality.
