Republican Spanish refugee, editor of several journals, compiler, historian, polemicist, ex-Communist, anti-racism activist and international scientific nationalist Indianism committed to the revolutionary state. Reach Mexico in 1939, a time when the rise of anthropology meets the requirement of improving the living conditions of indigenous masses and their incorporation into the nation requires the participation of social anthropologist.
