Abstract

The next argues that citizenship can be seen as a cultural process in the sense that the marginalized and excluded have a particular membership which would be considered vision and that vision to renegotiate the contract with such national groups. Event discussed is that of Chicanos in the United States and social movements seeking civil rights, as well as border issues and racial discrimination.
