Abstract

Reading the articles of three colleagues CIESAS and a colleague of Guatemala, we find that there are more convergences than divergences between those who work in the analysis of ethnicity, territoriality, the construction of identities in the historical and anthropological thought and nations. No wonder the link between the four authors, as though playing different and related to remote indigenous peoples and different nations issues, we can characterize their approaches within a modern but steady trend in anthropology and history. to do enter to dialogue on these pages with our authors to indicate the points of agreement and in which I disagree, because the definition of the term carries implicit CONTEMPT irreverence and lack of agreement, and in our case the creators of the magazine demanding discussion and controversy with those who are authorities in the academic field of anthropology.
