From Organized Crime to Disorganized Crime: A Proposal for Conceptual and Contextual Observation

Drug trafficking in Mexico has been the most important activity of the organized crime favored for economical and sociocultural tendencies. Since the eighties until now, this activity has suffered contextual and conceptual modifications. The objective of this paper is to analyze from historical and sociocultural perspectives the aspects that influence the increasing of violence levels in criminal organizations, which have developed destructive ways to
increment their territory and economic control, to dominate politics and police.
I try to explain the transformation of this phenomenon in time and space, and the new disorganized criminal activities that turn up.
