Vaqueros, diablos y nahuales en la Costa Chica
Abstract
The danza de los diablos and the danza del toro de petate, as well as the narrati-ve and therapeutics of the enfermedad de monte, a process of the Nahua-list tradition, make up three groups that are fundamental in the Costa Chica system of thought: the devils, the cowboys and the nahuales. All of them are constitutive in the evolution of the body and souls in the concept of person of this region. I try to describe the relational context established internally and among the collectives of these three ritual areas, since I consider them to be part of the same non-compartmentalized universe. They constitute the vision of the world of the Black Peoples of the Costa Chica.
