El lugar de los peritajes antropológicos para derechos territoriales de pueblos indígenas y comunidades afrodescendientes en Brasil
Abstract
Lately, in Brazil, anthropologic studies for the regularization of indigenous and afrodescendant peoples’ territories have been attacked. Although there is a concern within the discipline about the role of such studies as a colonial instrument of the State, it is fundamental to analyze their role and place in specific historical conditions. By describing the territorial dispute situation in the country, articulated to an analysis of the anthropological expertises, we will see that these represent obstacles against the maintenance and reproduction of certain power structures.
