Relaciones interculturales y conflicto político en la Universidad Intercultural de Chiapas: la mirada de sus estudiantes
Abstract
Using an ethnographic approach, the practices that arise in the context of political conflict at the Universidad Intercultural de Chiapas are problematized from the experience of its students. The first section presents the main theoretical perspectives that support intercultural approaches in education. The second section analyzes the emergence of the university and the normative interculturality that sustains it. In the third section, some problems that characterize the political conflict are reconstructed. The last section presents some practices that emerged in the conflict that challenge the University approach. It is concluded that a politically committed interculturality can problematize the asymmetries of the University and its social context.
