La reproducción del vivir en medio de la tensión capital-vida. Trabajos y saberes para el cuidado de la vida
Abstract
This paper presents the results of a research carried out in the center of Veracruz, Mexico, with 25 peasant women organized in two saving groups. During two years, we worked with them through workshops, in-depth interviews and observation exercises, on the strategies to sustain life in the midst of an articulated system that devalues their work, while mandating them to take on an overload of responsibilities. We discuss the analytical category of care because of its ability to account for the complexity of the tensions and contradictions of the study context and at the top of that we propose to look at the strategies with which they manage the reproduction of living in their domestic cores and community environments.
