Prácticas y estrategias de autoatención frente al Covid-19 en una familia de estrato socioeconómico alto en México
Abstract
This work addresses the self-care practices and strategies used by households in the face of Covid-19. Through autoethnography, we present the case of a family from a high socioeconomic status who cared for a seriously ill patient at home. In addition to offering a counterpoint regarding the management carried out by the majority of the population of subaltern sectors, from therapeutic itineraries we identify the importance of organization and communication between the family and the health sector for patient care. The foregoing, amid an environment of conflict generated by the pressure to make decisions with limited information and time to attend to the Covid-19 disease.
