The occupation of Mapuche territory, and the instauration of Chilean’s State domination system are the cause of impoverishment and social transformation and its current expression are the historical, territorial and ethnic claims. The Chilean State strategies of governability underpinning in the idea of development with identity and social capital are insufficient to give response to the political conflict. We propose the alternative concept transition structures. In this concept the conflict and domination relationships of Chilean State are the main analytical tools to understand the social change in an indigenous Latinamerican society when incorporated into the dynamics of a dominant society.
