This paper addresses the processes of rationality and managerial culture related to the implementation of a new model of work organization in the Mexican company Cierres Ideal. It emphasizes not only the speech and forms of management administration
but also the management of influential subjective elements such as values
incentives and worship. Similarly
the contradictions
inertia and particularities of this company in the adventure of organizational change are described. Thus
the article explores the space of meanings and identities at work and how the new rules and principles that are behind of the total quality programs –that are supposed to be developed in the studied company–
